The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.
SASSA will be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it truly is alarmed concerning the superior amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated here Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on a regular basis. The services position produced SRD for intervention encounters a substantial influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to allow the servicing of all clients and improve access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
